Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
